The Sauer Home Runs Foundation is connecting special kids with positive play!

Healthy competition and productive play are cornerstones for child development. The valuable lessons learned on the field have helped generations of children become more balanced, resilient, and productive adults.

Art Sauer, (pictured with son Bruce) played minor league baseball in the early 1950's for the St. Cloud Rox.

Love of baseball, commitment to community, and a desire to return sportsmanship to society, led to the creation of the Sauer Home Runs Foundation.

How We Began

The Sauer family has been active in their community for decades, serving in a variety of charitable and civic roles. Three of them have been elected to government offices, both sons have volunteered with foster children, and together their family business, Sauer Homes, has redesigned and remodeled countless homes.

In 2022, a customer of theirs, discovered the Sauers dedication to foster children and asked how he could help. After his remodeling project was completed, the Sauers made a donation in the customer’s name. He decided to match their contribution with one of his own. These two financial gifts became the catalyst for what would become the Sauer Home Runs Foundation.

Today, the Foundation couples the Sauer family’s desire to give back with the opportunity for customers, neighbors, and friends to also “Step Up to the Plate”.
