Step Up to the Plate for Special Kids.
Helping Foster Kids, Military Families & Children with Disabilities Play Ball!
Our mission is to help special and sometimes overlooked kids learn the lessons of sportsmanship, persistence, and teamwork, through participation in youth athletics and a trip to a live sporting event.
Investing in Lessons Learned in Sports.
Many times, foster children, first responder families, and kids with developmental or physical disabilities are unable to participate in sports. Due to lack of access, resources, or parental support, these children can lose out on important life lessons needed to succeed in the future.
Data confirms that children who participate in organized youth sports and outdoor activates, grow up to be healthier, more productive, and community-oriented adults.
Helping a child today, creates a better, brighter and safer tomorrow.
A Game Day Gift.
Investing in youth sports that can teach life lessons is half the mission. The Sauer Home Runs Foundation is also striving to give the experience of a professional, minor league, or collegiate game day experience to boys and girls in foster care, those with special needs, and the children of military and first responder families.
Many times, these special kids have not had the opportunity to witness adult athletics up close.
Seeing role models strike out, but rally back, or lead their team to persevere against all odds can inspire grit and goals in a child.
Help us give the gift of a game to these special sports fans!
